Job Summary:Leading manufacturer/service provider is looking for a hands-on Payroll Manager. You will be reporting to the controller leading their payroll operations team. This position would work in-office full-time.Location: Mountain View, CaliforniaJob Type: PermanentSalary: $120,000 - $130,000 per yearWork Hours: 7 to 3Education: No Degree RequiredExperience: 7 YearsResponsibilities:

• Manage and process all bi-weekly, multi-state payroll; 40% exempt and 60% non-exempt employee mix, including bonus and commissions, salary adjustments and ensures compliance with pay rules.
• Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of payroll, reviews off-cycle payrolls, timely check processing and accuracy of payroll reports.
• Handles escalated field queries and resolves issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborates cross-functionally with HR department for new hire processes, terminations and leaves of absence.
• Provides bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to Controller and HR.
• Ensures payroll tax payments are in compliance with applicable federal, state and local tax laws.
• Maintains Company's payroll compliance by staying up to date and preparing for new federal, state and local legislation, educating and training departments and advising management of changes.
• Develops internal controls to ensure the quality and efficiency of all payroll functions and regulatory compliance. Communicates procedures with company leadership and field offices.
• Provides leadership to the payroll team, training, mentoring, providing performance feedback and writing performance reviews.Qualifications:
  • Proven experience supervising a minimum of three direct reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
  • Must be able to work in office full-time.
  • ADP Workforce Now and E-time experience in a multi-state environment highly preferred.
