Job Description:

Community Medical Centers is seeking a skilled Per Diem Nurse to join our Interventional Radiology team. As a Per Diem Nurse, you will be responsible for preparing patients for procedures, analyzing laboratory results, and educating patients and families. You will also be responsible for inserting IV lines, administering drugs, and monitoring patient vital signs during procedures. In addition, you will oversee the safety and comfort of patients and perform other responsibilities as needed. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in nursing and a current State of California Registered Nurse license. BLS certification is also required. Experience in procedural sedation, angiography, and special procedures is preferred. Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) or Cardiovascular Nursing (CVN) certification is also a plus. * Prepare patients for procedures
* Analyze laboratory results and medical history
* Educate patient and family
* Insert IV lines
* Administer drugs including procedural sedation
* Monitor patient's patterns and vital signs during procedures
* Oversee the safety and comfort of patients
* All other responsibilities as needed

**Qualifications:**

* Graduate of approved nursing program required
* RN - Current State of California Registered Nurse license required
* BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Background procedural sedation, angiography, and special procedures
* Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) or Cardiovascular Nursing (CVN) is preferred
* Advance level of clinical nursing practice in Interventional Radiology, Cath Lab, ICU, or ER experience preferred
* Skilled in performing circulator duties during invasive procedures. Sedation and scrub experience is also highly desired
