Job Description:
A company is looking for a Hospital Coding Specialist II -
Advanced Coding.
Key Responsibilities
Code and abstract hospital invasive same day procedures, ED, and
interventional radiology
Ensure accurate code assignment using ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and HCPCS
Level II procedures
Collaborate with Patient Financial Services on account
reconciliations and claim issues
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
High School diploma or GED; completion of an AHIMA Accredited
Health Information Technology program or equivalent
certification
Valid RHIT certification or other relevant coding certifications
(RHIA, CCA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, COC, CPC-H)
Minimum of one year of hospital coding experience
Knowledge of ICD-10 CM, CPT-4 code assignment, CCI, and Medical
Necessity edits
Familiarity with 3M encoder is preferred
